In 2025, the Autoliv Safety Foundation made a targeted donation to YOURS to advance road safety initiatives in Mexico, with a strong focus on motorcycle safety, one of the country’s most pressing road risk challenges.
This collaboration supported the Youth on Track program, a youth led initiative designed to reduce motorcycle related fatalities by equipping young people with the skills, knowledge, and leadership tools to become agents of change in their communities. Youth on Track directly contributes to Autoliv’s mission of Saving More Lives. By investing in education, peer to peer engagement, and evidence based awareness efforts, the program empowers youth to promote safer riding behaviors, certified helmet use, and community-driven solutions to road safety issues.
Between March and November 2025, 21 young leaders were trained through a hybrid learning program, which included online modules and an intensive in person workshop delivered by international and local road safety experts. These young ambassadors then led 15 community activations across multiple municipalities, reaching more than 3,000 people through hands on, youth to youth engagement.
To further increase impact, the initiative launched a nationwide motorcycle safety awareness campaign, achieving a reach of more than 5.6 million people across traditional and digital media channels. The program not only mobilized youth and strengthened partnerships with government and civil society, it also demonstrated a scalable and replicable model for improving road safety through local leadership.
