Credit Ratings
As part of its debt management Autoliv maintains a long-term and a short-term credit rating from Standard and Poor's (S&P) and a short-term credit rating from Moody's. Autoliv received its initial long-term rating from S&P in 2000 and was then rated BBB+. Review meetings are arranged with the management annually, and regular contact is kept with the rating analysts. Despite the financial turmoil and the drop in light vehicle production in late 2008 and in the beginning of 2009, Autoliv's rating remained investment grade (BBB-). This was a result of the successful execution of the action plan initiated already in July of 2008. With the rating upgrade in July 2010 to BBB+, Autoliv has now restored its credit ratings in-line with its objective of maintaining a strong investment grade rating. Our goal is to ensure that rating agencies continue to be comfortable with Autoliv’s strategy and performance. The rating reports below are published by Standard & Poor's rating agencies and are available in PDF format.
